Celebrate New Year’s Eve with our Tasting Menu at our luxury hotel in Mallorca
With just a quick glance at the calendar it’s going to be obvious: that one of the most important moments of the year is approaching, to be exact, its end. New Year’s Eve is one of those times in which surrounding yourself by the best company and being in the right place is crucial. That is why at Sa Creu Nova Petit Palais Art & SPA we want to recommend an evening like no other. Let us guide you in to the interior of our restaurant Tess de Mar and delight you with some of the best flavours to end this year.
Celebrating New Year’s Eve in a calming surrounding and away from the masses is a clever way to appreciate every moment of a magical gastronomic feast until the clock strikes twelve. Our 5 star hotel is located in Campos, an enclave which is often compared to what Mallorca was like 20 years ago, due to its tranquillity and its unspoilt landscapes, typical of the south east of the island.
Our restaurant Tess de Mar, led by Juan Ocampo, has designed a Tasting Menu for a dreamy New Year’s Eve Gala. Being welcomed to your table cannot be done in any other way except than with a glass of cava and some exclusive snacks such as oyster pil pil, moray eel and caviar and a mushroom cappuccino. This initial sensorial explosion will go accompanied by a fois gras terrine “mi cuit” with a brioche sourdough bread, port and winter truffle. Now that the diners are comfortable and their palates have been awoken: it’s time to begin an unforgettable dinner.
The main dishes of this New Year’s Eve menu alternate between the best from land and sea. This gastronomic offering is made up of a crusted tuna tataki and a chasseur, lobster with a beurre blanc, cuttlefish noodles with an Iberian ham and acorn jus and exquisite Wagyu ribs smoked for 72 hours at a low temperature and a potato starch foam. An unforgettable array even for the most experienced food connoisseurs.
Those who were wise enough would have known to save a little room for our show stopper. Dessert is a seasonal fruit Nitro sorbet and cava, a selection of different textured chocolates and a collection of Christmas sweets. And of course we can’t forget the great atmosphere and the 12 grapes!
